Responsible Care® - 9 Guiding Principles |  | UIC’s members (which, by definition, participate in Responsible Care®) continuously look out for potential operational improvements that can be made with regard to health, safety and the environment. The businesses are committed to applying the following principles. |

These principles are accompanied by a Code of Conduct, which confers a number of obligations on participants. In summary, they must: apply all aspects of the initiative in full; respond to any surveys undertaken by UIC; and use the official logo. The Guiding Principles and Code of Conduct for France’s Responsible Care initiative (Engagement de Progrès) can be found in a document known as the parchemin.
